Introduction

The Treylyans software performs an automatic conversion from Kemmyn spellings to the Standard Written Form or Furv Skrifys Savonek.  The software produces Main Form spellings, which is the one to be used in educational and official documents, and also the Main Form with traditional graphs.

The software requires the Microsoft Silverlight plugin which you can install automatically by clicking on the box below.

Instructions

Type the required text into the top box, or paste it by pressing Ctrl-V.  Select the desired Form to output and click Convert, and the converted text will appear in the lower box. To copy the converted text to the clipboard, click in the lower box, select the text (or press Ctrl-A to select all), and press Ctrl-C to copy it to the clipboard.

To the right of the converted text, a box shows the generated word replacement dictionary.

Errors and Limitations

Kemmyn <goen> "moor" and second state mutation of <koen> "late dinner" are currently not distinguished and are all treated as second state of <koen> and transcribed as <gon>, but <goen> "moor" should be transcribed as <goon>.

Any non-Cornish words which fall within the rules for transcription will be converted as if they were Cornish.

The software is under development so it is likely that there will be errors and limitations in the translations it performs. Please send in any you come across so that they can be considered for fixing in future releases.

Downloadable Version

The downloadable version is still available here for offline use.
